Does my indoor cat still need a flea treatment?

Answer: We can bring fleas into the home on our clothes or just about anything else, or they can come into our homes from outside all year long and use our animals as “hosts”. Fleas can live in our furniture and rugs for a long time. They can also be transferred when we visit a friend’s home or someplace like a pet store where there is a chance there are unprotected animals. Fleas aren’t species specific and can be transferred from dogs to cats to humans, etc. I truly believe better safe than sorry, and as vet bills go, flea meds are one of the cheaper things!
